Belong ADSL/NBN - $40 off Your First Invoice

While Belong has a long running deal with all customers to refer a friend, they have doubled the offer.

$40 off your first invoice if you join with a referral code before June 30th. Both the "friend" and the account holder will receive this credit. I have not included my referral code here, as you can use the links to randomly select a fellow ozb user's code.

Belong is a great way to get your internet connected if you have no active line - there are no charges and you can select no contract options, pay one month and the modem cost, cancel, and your line will be active - Beats the $300+ Telstra try to charge.

NOTE: Belong will give you the "rest of the month" free upon activation, so a good idea is to apply for this service so that it activates around the first few days of the month - that entire month will NOT be invoiced, and this means you get ANOTHER month free! Belong bill on the 1st of every month. To give you a rough guide, it took 5 business days from day of sign up for me to receive ADSL2+ - I had no active line at the time.

The only initial startup cost is the purchase of the modem for $99.00. No installation charges (save up to $299) or activation fees!

Alternative to the Belong deal. Great for people that don't have an existing telephone line, as both deals offer a no cost installation and you aren't locked into a long-term contract.

Haters gonna hate. But they definitely save me money and in my experience my internet is always fast and connected and they've done nothing wrong except when they once jacked up prices but did a backflip.

Fine print:

The Exetel Broadband Plan Activation Fee is free. Depending on the service ordered, there may be additional up-front charges which are not a part of this promotion. These include, but are not limited to, charges such as Phone Line Activation Fee or Copper Line Installation Charges, Lead-in or Additional Cabling, Equipment Charges such as Modems, Routers or Splitters, Missed Appointment Fees or any complex on site work required to provide a functional broadband service. Residential plans only.

Pretty good price on the D7. The cheapest it's been is $120, during the 20% off sale, so this is not the lowest its been.

Note that the Archer D7 is a not a VDSL modem — it does ADSL2+.

For people on NBN NODE you will need to buy a VDSL capable device.

Please read the description on the XStar monitor before buying to avoid dissapointment.

Dodo - Unlimited ADSL2+ Internet Plan for Only $29.90 a Month - No Contract

I came across this offer on internet today, not sure since when it's been running though. $29.90 p/m for unlimited ADSL2+ broadband and no contract is the cheapest plan I have ever come across for unlimited broadband internet. So far I was under impression that TPG's quite-popular $59.99 p/m unlimited ADSL2+ plan is the cheapest in the market, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Apparently Dodo has $99 set up fee, but even TPG has a similar fee. Please ignore it if it's a repeat post.

PS: The Dodo website says this plan is for metro-areas; not sure which areas it covers.

Up to $55 Cash Back on TPG Plans - TPG Bundles, TPG Mobile, TPG Phone, TPG Broadband

BONUS: The new Kickstart site is only a few weeks old and we have finally taken out Social media names. If anyone can help us out and add a link to their forums or blogs (to the deal and not the front page of the site) we will pay an additional $5 (minimum) to the cash back OR if you wish to promote the site separately and get paid please email with what you can offer..

When signing up for any TPG Internet Service, why not get a paid incentive to do so ? Kickstart Computers has since 2010 been offering a one time only cash back rebate when purchasing a TPG Internet Plan. As the plans consistently change we came up with a cash back that rewards the end user - YOU - on the plan chosen and the length of contract. The value is anywhere from $15 to $55; what a deal !

The below link will describe the cash back for current TPG Bundles, Mobile and NBN Rebates.

Spintel ADSL 2+ Urban Bundle 500GB $49.95/M (Monthly Contract, No Set Up Fees, Line Rental Included)

Was recently looking for some OzBargain ADSL 2+ deals and ended up finding this one from Spintel, signed up today for the 500GB (more than enough for us). Unlimited is $5 more.

The good thing about this one is that there is no lock-in-contract, set-up fees or line transfer fees (line activation fees apply for new lines). My understanding is that 'Urban' refers to it being an Optus port.

Be prepared to potentially sacrifice a bit as Spintel is known for congestion during peak time and infrequent network dropouts, most likely would not suit a power user or somebody who values speed and reliability. Having said that if you are not satisfied you can always port out (30 days written notice).

Also get up to $25 credit through a referral (thanks Holysmoke for pointing this out):
